Here are a  few of the cards I’ve made since Christmas. Just remembered in time not to put my son’s card on before his birthday as he follows my blog.

As anyone who follows my blog knows I’m a great fan of Craft Stamper magazine and I made these cards used some of my favourite  techniques from resent additions.

This is the card I made for Valentines day, so simple.

I made these two  using patterned background paper with stencilling over the top and flowers made from circles of card and patterned paper with vees cut out to make petals, not as easy as it looks until you get the hang of it.

made using coloured tissue and washi tape

This one uses coloured tissue paper, washi tape and magazine ads. Luckily I didn’t cut up my sons design and skateboard magazine, sign of relief. I  scanned them in so I can use them again. The images were stamped on to acetate. The steam punk light bulb was from  Mosaic a great bead shop in Leicester.

I don’t buy many cards, but I thought I’d show you this one, which I got in Nottingham. I just love it, it’s so camp and reminds me of one of my favourite films, The Adventures of Robin Hood starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland (1938)

Die cut flowers

Here are two flowers I made for next to nothing. They are both made using the Tim Holz Tattered Floral die. The red ones uses some silk  from swatches I got for 50p and the other one  uses some gold plastic fabric I’ve had for years. I coloured them with Ranger Alcohol ink.

White flowerThis is a work in progress made using the alcohol  ink that was left on the pad after colouring the die cut flowers with a new die I got at the NEC in November.
