Patchwork handbag

After saying I was on a mission to complete all my half finished pieces, before starting anything new, I’ve just finished this little number. In my defence I made it using furnishing swatches a friend gave me ages ago and fabrics from my stash. I only had to buy the ribbon and it only took a couple of evenings.

New Year’s Resolution

Filled with New Year zeal I’m on a mission to complete all those half finished projects  hidden at the bottom of the cupboard.

This is a quilt I finished just before Christmas. I’m ashamed to say I started it about 10 years ago, but it’s finally finished. The pattern is from American Quiltmaker magazine and made in batik fabric. Its hand appliquéd and machined quilted.  IMG_7028

This next piece is on a much smaller scale. It’s  a  Moda kit which came in a lovely tin. Its about 12″/30cm square

Two down about twenty to go.

Sofa Quilts

Here are my three of my quilts  that live on the back of the sofa ready for anyone to wrap themselves in when watching TV. They where made mainly using fat quarters that I got from America.  I like smaller quilts as they don’t take so long to make, as I’m a very, very slow quilter.
