More Gelli plate backgrounds

I’ve been playing with my 6×6″ Gelli plate and  have made these cards with some of  the  results. I’ve discover a couple of things as I’ve worked, firstly that paint from different manufactures react differently depending on whether they are quick or slow drying and are opaque or translucent and  some were more successful then others depending on the technique used. Secondly the prints I thought where the least successful  made the best background papers. image

I used Clarity’s Leafy swirl stencil and some bubble wrap to create this print.

imageFor this print I used an old plastic fork to draw into the paint and finished with February’s Craft Stamper magazine free stamp.

For this card I using a stencil from Imagination Crafts with their Sparkle Medium.  It was really easy to use and gives a

lovely effect.

This is a lovely stamp by Andy Skinner which I really enjoyed using and not just for Christmas.

IMG_4482This was the card I made to go in the post using  a stamp by Hero Arts.  Really easy and quick to make.

Christmas Cards

Just a few of the Christmas cards I’ve made this year. I made them using ideas from the Craft Stamper magazine and background techniques learned on a WEA advanced card making course. I tried to use supplies I already had and it really stretched my creativity.
