Today’s fabric is a classic Heals design from 1967.
However, now is perhaps the time for me to come clean and hang my head in shame whilst I admit I didn’t know that when I bought it.
I only found out later, after I became friends with Rachel at My Rainbow Vintage Home.
I learned from her that it is called Petrus, was designed by Peter Hall, and is now considered such a classic that there is some of this fabric held in the V&A textile archives.
I also learned that Rachel had spotted my particular piece of Petrus (which is actually a big pair of beautifully-made curtains)…
